Overview:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Engineering Intern to join our team. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the construction industry and develop practical engineering skills. The intern will work closely with the project team and assist in various site activities, coordination, documentation and project-related tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the project team in daily site activities and project-related tasks.

• Assist in monitoring and inspecting construction works under the supervision of the project team.

• Assist in reviewing engineering drawings, specifications and other project documents.

• Support the team in monitoring the progress and quality of construction works.

• Assist in identifying and reporting any discrepancies, defects or non-compliance observed at site.

• Assist in coordinating engineering works with other trades and project team members.

• Assist in preparing and maintaining site reports, records, photographs and other project documentation.

• Participate in site meetings, coordination meetings and other project activities when required.

• Assist in monitoring site activities and report any safety or HSE concerns to the project team.

• Assist with site measurements, setting out and level checking under supervision.

• Gain exposure to construction methods, work sequencing, materials, manpower and machinery coordination.

• Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by Project Manager

Requirements:

• Currently pursuing a Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architecture or a related Engineering field.

• Basic knowledge of engineering and construction principles.

• Basic understanding of engineering drawings and project documentation.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work well in a team and follow instructions.

• Detail-oriented with good organizational skills.

• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.

• Able to multitask, prioritize and manage time effectively.

• Willing to work at construction sites and gain hands-on experience.

• Responsible, hardworking and committed to assigned tasks.
