Manage and oversee daily fabrication activities, including cutting, fitting, welding, assembly, and finishing works.
-Plan, coordinate, and monitor fabrication projects to ensure work is completed according to project schedules, specifications, and quality standards.
-Supervise fabrication personnel, including welders, fabricators, fitters, and technicians.
-Allocate manpower, materials, tools, machinery, and equipment according to project and production requirements.
-Review fabrication drawings, technical drawings, welding procedures, material specifications, and project requirements.
-Ensure all fabrication works are carried out according to approved drawings, dimensions, tolerances, and specifications.
-Monitor welding and fabrication processes to ensure compliance with required quality standards and procedures.
-Inspect fabricated components and structures to identify defects, dimensional issues, welding defects, and other quality concerns.
-Coordinate with Engineering, Production, Procurement, Quality, and Project teams to resolve fabrication-related issues.
-Prepare and monitor fabrication schedules, work progress, manpower requirements, and material usage.
-Ensure materials such as steel, stainless steel, aluminium, welding consumables, and other fabrication materials are properly controlled and utilized.
-Monitor productivity, work efficiency, material wastage, and overall fabrication costs.
-Ensure fabrication machinery, welding equipment, tools, and workshop facilities are properly maintained and in safe working condition.
-Ensure all fabrication activities comply with company procedures, project requirements, quality standards, and applicable safety regulations.
-Investigate and resolve fabrication problems, production delays, quality issues, and technical challenges.
-Monitor and maintain proper documentation, including fabrication reports, inspection records, production progress, material usage, and maintenance records.
-Support the installation, assembly, testing, and commissioning of fabricated equipment or structures when required.
-Coordinate with site and project teams for fabrication requirements, delivery schedules, and installation activities.
-Ensure housekeeping and proper organization of the fabrication workshop and work areas.
-Develop and improve fabrication processes, workflow, productivity, and quality control measures.
-Train, guide, and develop fabrication personnel to improve technical skills, workmanship, productivity, and safety awareness.
-Perform any other technical, operational, or managerial duties assigned by the superior.

Requirements
-Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Fabrication, Welding Technology, or a related field.
-Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in fabrication, welding, manufacturing, mechanical engineering, or a similar technical environment, with supervisory or managerial experience preferred.
-Strong knowledge and experience in fabrication processes, including cutting, fitting, welding, grinding, drilling, bending, and assembly.
-Good knowledge of welding processes such as MIG/MAG, TIG, SMAW, or other relevant welding methods.
-Able to read and interpret fabrication drawings, engineering drawings, welding symbols, specifications, and technical documents.
-Knowledge of materials such as mild steel, stainless steel, aluminium, and other engineering materials.
-Experience in managing fabrication manpower, production schedules, materials, tools, and workshop activities.
-Strong leadership, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
Able to work independently and manage multiple projects or priorities effectively.
-Willing to travel to project sites or airport stations when required.
-Able to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
-Experience in Ground Support Equipment (GSE) fabrication or manufacturing will be an added advantage.
-Knowledge of relevant welding/fabrication standards and certifications will be an added advantage.
-Willing base at RTB Bukit Changgang, Banting.
