Key Responsibilities

• Site Inspections & Audits: Conduct regular inspections of work sites, facilities, machinery, and equipment to identify safety hazards. Document findings, issue corrective action notices, track items to closure, and participate in internal/external EHS audits.
• Risk Management & PTW: Assist the WSHO in preparing, reviewing, and updating Risk Assessments (RA) and Safe Work Procedures (SWP). Evaluate high-risk activities (work-at-height, hot work, lifting operations, confined space entry) and enforce strict Permit-to-Work (PTW) compliance.
• Incident Response & CAPA: Act as initial contact for workplace incidents, near-misses, injuries, and environmental concerns. Assist in thorough root-cause investigations, prepare incident reports, and implement Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) plans.
• Reporting & Compliance: Report all EHS issues to WSHO, Project Manager, and Safety Manager. Maintain accurate EHS statistics, injury logs, and regulatory documentation in compliance with local laws (e.g., Singapore WSH Act and Environmental Protection Act).
• Training & Briefings: Deliver site safety inductions for new employees, contractors, and visitors. Lead daily/weekly toolbox talks, conduct hazard awareness sessions, and maintain complete training records and certifications.
• Environmental Control & Chemical Safety: Oversee environmental controls including noise management, vector/mosquito breeding control, and hazardous/non-hazardous waste disposal. Maintain updated Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and monitor proper chemical handling and storage.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Mandatory Certifications:
• Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety & Health (WSH).
• Manage Work at Height Certification.
• Work Experience:
• 2 to 4 years of direct experience as a Safety Coordinator in construction projects.
• Technical & Industry Knowledge:
• Strong working knowledge of local Singapore EHS legislation, regulatory standards, and compliance frameworks.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and safety management software/apps.
• Key Skills:
• Excellent communication, reporting, and interpersonal skills to engage with workers, management, and regulatory authorities.
• Strong problem-solving ability, sharp attention to detail, and a firm approach to upholding safety standards.
• Preferred / Advantageous Certifications:
• Lifting Supervisor
• First Aid / CPR
• Confined Space Assessor
• Scaffold Supervisor
• Environmental Control Officer (ECO) Licence

Pay: $2,500.00 - $4,000.00 per month
