Requirements

Minimum 1–3 years of retail experience, preferably in fashion, lifestyle, beauty, toys, collectibles or premium consumer retail.

Previous experience as a Retail Associate, Key Holder, Team Leader or Retail Supervisor is preferred.

Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.

Comfortable selling and engaging directly with customers.

Responsible, organised and able to work independently when management is not physically present.

Experience with POS systems, cash handling and inventory management is preferred.

Able to lead and motivate a small retail team.

Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Mandarin is an advantage.

Comfortable working retail shifts, weekends and public holidays.

Interest in lifestyle products, plush toys, collectibles or character brands is an advantage.

We are launching our first retail store in Malaysia and are looking for an energetic and responsible Retail Supervisor to join our founding retail team.

The Role

As Retail Supervisor, you will be the key person responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of our first GABRIEL store in Malaysia.

This is a hands-on retail role. You will work alongside the retail team on the sales floor while taking additional responsibility for store operations, staff coordination, inventory, customer experience and daily store standards.

As one of our first employees in Malaysia, you will also have the opportunity to grow with the brand as we expand our number of stores.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the retail team during daily store operations and ensure smooth opening and closing of the store.

Deliver excellent customer service and actively assist customers with product selection.

Drive store sales and support the team in achieving monthly sales targets.

Train and guide retail assistants on product knowledge, customer service and selling techniques.

Coordinate staff shifts, breaks and daily floor coverage.

Operate the POS system and oversee cash handling, payment transactions, refunds and daily reconciliation.

Monitor inventory levels, receive incoming stock and assist with stock counts and stock replenishment.

Ensure products are accurately displayed, priced and maintained according to GABRIEL’s visual merchandising standards.

Maintain high standards of store cleanliness, presentation and customer experience.

Monitor stock discrepancies, operational issues and unusual transactions and report them promptly.

Handle customer enquiries, feedback and complaints professionally.

Provide brief daily operational updates to management when necessary.

Support product launches, promotional activities, KOL/influencer visits and in-store events.

Assist management in improving store processes as the Malaysia business grows.
