About the Role

Altera is seeking an AI Data Scientist to support AI-driven business transformation, analytics, automation, and intelligent data solutions within WWRAE. The successful candidate will work closely with technical support, engineering, IT, and business stakeholders to develop AI solutions, generate actionable insights, perform advanced analytics, and automate business processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and business insights.
• Develop dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using Power BI.
• Design and implement data models to support business reporting and decision-making.
• Develop automation solutions and scripts using Python and other programming languages.
• Build AI-powered solutions utilizing Large Language Models (LLMs), Generative AI, Agentic AI, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) technologies.
• Work with structured and unstructured data from enterprise systems, knowledge bases, support platforms, and business applications.
• Utilize Databricks for data processing, analytics, and AI solution development.
• Develop proof-of-concepts and production-ready AI solutions.
• Collaborate with business, IT, and technical teams to identify opportunities for automation and AI adoption.
• Support data quality improvement, governance, and validation activities.
• Evaluate and optimize AI solution performance.
• Present findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Prerequisite

• Strong Python programming and scripting skills.
• Experience with data analytics, statistical analysis, and data visualization.
• Hands-on experience with Power BI, including DAX and data modeling.
• Experience working with Databricks
• Strong SQL and database knowledge.
• Working knowledge of AI technologies, including:
• Generative AI
• Large Language Models (LLMs)
• Agentic AI
• Prompt Engineering
• RAG Architectures
• Experience integrating data from multiple enterprise systems.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to independently drive projects from concept to implementation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing AI copilots or enterprise AI applications.
• Experience with Azure AI Services, OpenAI, LangChain, or similar AI frameworks.
• Experience building automated reporting and analytics solutions.
• Experience handling customer support, operations, or business intelligence data.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and modern data architectures.
