Responsibilities
The Opportunity
Our client is an established global supply chain and logistics organisation looking for a
Key Account Manager
to drive the growth and development of key customer accounts across assigned markets.
This is a commercially focused role combining
strategic account management, business development and P&L ownership
. You will manage key customer relationships, identify opportunities to expand existing accounts and develop new business while working closely with internal teams to deliver effective supply chain solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Lead commercial performance and drive growth across assigned markets and strategic accounts
Own and develop relationships with key customers, building a strong understanding of their business needs and requirements
Identify opportunities to expand existing accounts through new solutions, services and commercial opportunities
Drive new business development and build a sustainable sales pipeline
Take ownership of account P&L, forecasting and business planning
Conduct regular business reviews and QBRs, providing customers with relevant market insights, trends and recommendations
Prepare and deliver commercial proposals and presentations to support revenue growth and customer retention
Partner with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery and effective execution of customer requirements
Collaborate with analytics and commercial teams on pricing models and proposals for new products and services
Track key account metrics and provide sales forecasts and performance updates to internal stakeholders
Manage customer concerns and commercial issues effectively, working towards mutually beneficial solutions and long-term partnerships
Provide leadership and direction to indirect team members to support customer and business objectives
What We're Looking For
Relevant experience in
Strategic Account Management, Key Account Management, Business Development or Commercial Management
Strong familiarity with the
supply chain, logistics or freight management industry
Proven ability to manage and grow key customer accounts while identifying new business opportunities
Commercially driven with a good understanding of sales pipelines, forecasting, pricing and P&L
Strong stakeholder management, influencing and relationship-building capabilities
Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills
Independent, resourceful and highly motivated with a strong drive to deliver results
Comfortable working cross-functionally across commercial and operational teams
