Ocean Park 海洋公園 Hiring! Full Time Contract Research Assistant in Hong Kong - Ricebowl

Responsibilities

• Collaborate effectively with the Senior Conservation Manager and Project Leader to align priorities and ensure delivery of all KPIs.
• Coordinate project schedules, resources, and task assignments to maintain smooth execution of activities.
• Facilitate regular progress reviews and team meetings to monitor outcomes, address challenges, and adjust plans as needed.
• Engage stakeholders and partners constructively to strengthen participation and support for project initiatives.
• Maintain clear communication channels across the project team to ensure transparency and accountability.
• Apply sound organizational and time-management practices to balance multiple activities and deadlines.
• Provide timely reporting and documentation to support evaluation, compliance, and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or above in ecology, conservation biology, environmental science, marine biology, or relevant disciplines;
• At least 2 years of relevant field work experience along coastlines and/or in marine environments;
• Strong interest in local marine biodiversity with intermediate field identification skills (marine invertebrates, or coastal species preferred);
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, experience with GIS (ArGIS/QGIS) and mapping is highly preferred;
• Fluent in Cantonese and English (spoken and written); Putonghua is an advantage;
• Good interpersonal, communication and presentation skills;
• Able to work independently and as a part of a team;
• Physically fit and willing to work outdoors; including shifts on weekends and public holidays;
• Skills in photography and videography are a strong advantage
• Willing to work on shifts during weekends and on public holidays.
