Responsibilities
We are seeking a
competent and experienced Quantity Surveyor(QS)
to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing project costs, commercial matters and contract administration to ensure projects are delivered within budget and in accordance with contractual requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare detailed
cost estimates, budgets, quotations, tenders and Bills of Quantities (BOQ)
.
Review drawings, specifications, contracts and project requirements to identify cost implications.
Monitor project costs, commitments and variations throughout the project lifecycle.
Source, evaluate and negotiate quotations with suppliers.
Liaise closely with clients, consultants, main contractors and suppliers on commercial matters.
Provide regular cost reports, forecasts and commercial updates to management.
Identify potential cost risks and recommend appropriate cost-control measures.
Ensure all documentation is properly maintained and submitted within required timelines.
Requirements
Diploma in
Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related discipline
.
Relevant experience
in Quantity Surveying, preferably in the construction or interior fit-out industry.
Strong understanding of
construction contracts and cost control.
Proficient in
Microsoft Excel, Word and related QS software
.
Strong analytical, numerical, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
