The Store Manager is responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of the Robotique retail outlet, ensuring exceptional customer experiences, strong sales performance, and efficient store
operations. This role oversees the retail team, manages store performance, and maintains operational excellence while fostering a positive and high-performing team culture.
In MR. ROBOT';s fast-moving retail environment, the Store Manager works closely with the Retail and Operations teams to ensure customers receive specialist-level, consultative service while achieving the store's commercial and operational objectives.
Job Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead the team by recruiting, training, scheduling, and coaching Retail Assistants to deliver specialist-level, consultative customer service.
- Develop team members, identifying future talents and build a positive, high-performing store culture.
Sales Performance & Customer Experience
- Drive the store's sales targets by monitoring daily and monthly performance and delivering results through the team without resorting to pressure selling.
- Handle customer escalations professionally and use customer feedback to continuously improve the store experience.
Store Operations
- Manage daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, staffing rosters, stock levels, inventory accuracy, cash handling, and overall store standards.
- Ensure the store remains visually appealing, well-stocked, and equipped with fully functional demo units and product displays.
Business Performance
- Track sales, inventory, and operating expenses for the outlet.
- Prepare performance reports and work within budget to maintain a healthy and profitable store operation.
Compliance & Store Standards
- Ensure the store complies with health, safety, security, and company policies.
- Safeguard company assets by maintaining proper stock control and cash handling procedures.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Retail Management, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
- 3–5 years of experience in retail management, assistant store management, or supervisory roles, ideally in consumer technology, electronics, or a consultative-selling environment.
- Proven track record of leading a retail team to achieve sales targets while maintaining excellent customer service standards.
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to recruit, coach, motivate, and develop a high-performing team.
- Solid understanding of retail operations, including staffing, rostering, inventory management, merchandising, cash handling, and basic store financials.
- Tech-savvy with a genuine interest in consumer technology products and the ability to continuously build product knowledge across the team.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills, with the ability to handle customer escalations professionally.
- Calm, organised, and hands-on, with the ability to lead from the sales floor in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Ability to analyse store performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and drive operational excellence.
- Availability to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays, based on operational requirements.
- Interest in AI or robotics is highly desirable.
