Electron Physiotherapy & Rehabilitation is a growing multi-branch physiotherapy centre committed to delivering high-quality, evidence-based rehabilitation services across Malaysia. Position: Physiotherapist (Elderly Home Care & Rehabilitation) – CherasWe are seeking a passionate and caring Physiotherapist to join our team in providing physiotherapy services for elderly residents at an elderly care home in Cheras.
This role is ideal for physiotherapists who enjoy working with older adults and are passionate about improving mobility, independence, confidence, and overall well-being among the elderly population.
Fresh graduates with a strong interest in geriatric rehabilitation are encouraged to apply.
Key ResponsibilitiesConduct physiotherapy assessments for elderly residents.
Develop individualized treatment plans based on each resident's functional needs.
Provide physiotherapy treatment for elderly patients with conditions such as:
Stroke
Parkinson's disease
Osteoarthritis
General deconditioning
Balance and mobility impairment
Post-surgical rehabilitation
Falls prevention
Conduct group exercise sessions and individual therapy sessions.
Carry out mobility training, balance exercises, gait training, strengthening exercises, and functional rehabilitation.
Educate caregivers and nursing staff on safe patient handling, positioning, transfer techniques, and fall prevention.
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
Maintain proper clinical documentation and patient records.
Work closely with nursing staff, caregivers, doctors, and family members to ensure holistic patient care.
Ensure high standards of patient safety, care, and satisfaction.
Participate in continuous professional development and training programs.
Diploma or Degree in Physiotherapy, Sports Rehabilitation, or related field.
Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
Experience in elderly care, geriatric rehabilitation, neurological rehabilitation, or stroke rehabilitation is an added advantage.
Passionate about working with elderly patients.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Caring, patient, compassionate, and empathetic personality.
Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Team player with excellent professional ethics.
Possess own transport.
Willing to travel to Cheras for clinical sessions.
