About the Role

We are seeking an experienced individual to drive end-to-end data migration implementation for next-generation core system modernisation (e.g. banking, insurance, asset management, and etc.), involving applications and systems across different business segments (e.g. Retail, SME, and Commercial).

Candidate should preferably have a strong background in data architecture and migration, coupled with leadership and stakeholder management skills. This role requires not only technical expertise but also a deep understanding of the regulatory and operational complexities of financial services environments.

Key Responsibilities

Data Migration Strategy & Planning

  • Define data migration strategy and approach, ensuring alignment with project objectives and timelines.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, core system vendors, third-party solution providers, and internal teams for all migration-related matters.
  • During project delivery, to lead and oversee the full lifecycle of data migration execution for core system implementations


Collaboration & Execution

  • Collaborate with functional consultants, technical leads, and other stakeholders to ensure consistency across workstreams.
  • Provide guidance on migration planning, risk identification, and issue resolution.
  • Ensure quality and governance standards are applied throughout the migration process, including validation and reconciliation oversight.

Reporting & Stakeholder Management

  • Track project progress and provide regular updates to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Facilitate communication between multiple vendors, internal teams, and client representatives to ensure smooth delivery.

Required Qualifications

Education & Technical Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field
  • Over 8 years of experience in core system data migration or related system implementation and project management experience
  • Proven experience with next-generation/ core systems platforms and associated data migration tools and platforms (e.g. ETL frameworks, data validation tools, migration engines).
  • Deep understanding of financial services core modules, such as:
    • Banking (e.g. CASA, Deposits, Loans, Payments, Customer, Treasury)
    • Familiarity with banking operations, business processes, and regulatory reporting (e.g., financial accounting, CCRIS, STATsmart, MFRS9, PIDM, EAL)
    • Insurance (e.g. Policy administration, Underwriting, Claims Management, Payments, Re-insurance)
    • Treasury (e.g. Customer, Trade Booking, Trade Event, Settlement, Post Settlement, etc.)

Professional Certification

  • TOGAF or similar enterprise architecture certification
  • Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP)


Leadership & Soft Skills

  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience coordinating multiple vendors, internal teams, and senior client leadership.
  • Excellent communication, strategic planning, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Problem-solving mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities
