About the role

We are seeking a talented and enthusiastic Web Developer Intern to join our team on a contract basis in Kuala Lumpur. This is an excellent opportunity for aspiring developers to gain practical experience in web development whilst working alongside experienced professionals in a collaborative and innovative environment. The intern will support the development and production of web applications, learning industry best practices and contributing to real-world projects that impact our clients' success.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the design, development and maintenance of web applications and websites

• Write clean, efficient and well-documented code following industry standards and best practices

• Support the testing and debugging of web applications to identify and resolve issues

• Collaborate with senior developers and cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and deliverables

• Participate in code reviews and implement feedback to improve code quality

• Help with the deployment and publishing of web solutions to production environments

• Stay updated with emerging web technologies and development trends

• Contribute to the documentation and knowledge-sharing within the development team

What we're looking for

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or a related field

• Foundational knowledge of web development technologies including HTML, CSS and JavaScript

• Familiarity with one or more web development frameworks or libraries (such as React, Vue.js or Angular)

• Understanding of responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility

• Basic knowledge of version control systems, preferably Git

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team

• Attention to detail and commitment to writing high-quality code

• Preferred experience: knowledge of back-end development, databases, or exposure to web development tools and environments
