Production Assistant Supervisor (Night Shift)

Location: Ang Mo Kio
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Shift: Permanent Night Shift

About the Opportunity

Join a well-established advanced manufacturing company supporting high-technology industries. We are looking for a hands-on Production Assistant Supervisor to lead daily production activities, ensure smooth operations, and drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

This role is ideal for candidates with production leadership experience who enjoy managing people, maintaining high-quality standards, and contributing to operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to achieve quality, safety, and delivery targets

  • Plan and allocate manpower effectively to support production schedules and operational requirements

  • Monitor production processes and ensure compliance with established work procedures and quality standards

  • Work closely with Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, Maintenance, and other internal teams to support production goals

  • Support the handling, processing, packaging, and storage of manufacturing materials according to operational requirements

  • Ensure accurate production records, documentation, and process traceability

  • Lead and support employee training, cross-training, and skills development initiatives

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance productivity, quality, and efficiency

  • Promote and maintain workplace safety, housekeeping, and 5S standards

  • Support employee engagement, performance management, coaching, and team development

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Science, Manufacturing, or a related discipline

  • At least 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience within a manufacturing environment

  • Good understanding of manufacturing operations, production processes, and shopfloor practices

  • Familiarity with SAP, MES, or other production systems is an advantage

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word

  • Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work independently and effectively in a team environment

  • Comfortable working in both office and production floor settings

  • Willing to work permanent night shifts

Preferred Experience

Candidates with experience in the following industries are encouraged to apply:

  • Manufacturing

  • Semiconductor

  • Chemical or Materials Processing

  • Precision Engineering

Physical Work Environment

  • Role involves regular standing and movement within the production environment

  • Requires handling of materials and items weighing up to approximately 10kg

  • Ability to perform tasks requiring attention to detail and accurate colour differentiation
