Title: Shopify-based Product & eCommerce Performance Management
Scope: Management, maintenance, and expansion of Shopify store architecture and product catalogs across single as well as multi-site environments.
Role Overview
You will be responsible for the performance, expansion, and day-to-day execution of our Shopify ecosystem. This role bridges store operations, product merchandising, technical site enhancements, search engine optimization (SEO), and paid acquisition channels.
A central requirement of this position is strict execution discipline. Meeting campaigns, product rollouts, site launch and update deadlines are non-negotiable KPIs.
Key Result Areas (KRAs) & Core Responsibilities
1. Product Lifecycle & Catalog Management
- New Product Creation: Set up and launch new products with precise variants, SKUs, pricing, inventory rules, tags, and metafields.
- Maintenance of Current Product Catalog: Maintain current product catalog, ensuring that all published variants, SKUs, pricing, inventory rules, tags, and metafields remain intact and complete over time.
- Timely Site & Product Updates: Execute price changes, stock adjustments, seasonal updates, and merchandising tweaks in line with marketing calendars.
- Site Organization & Merchandising: Maintain intuitive navigation, collection hierarchies, automated collection rules, cross-sells/upsells, and search functionality.
2. Search Engine Optimization (SEO & GEO)
- On-Page & Technical SEO: Optimize page titles, meta descriptions, URLs, internal linking structure, and image alt text across all product, collection, and landing pages.
- Structured Data & AI Search Optimization: Implement product schema markup and structured data to enhance visibility in search engines and AI generative overview engine results.
- Organic Search Growth: Audit site health (Core Web Vitals, page load speeds, indexing errors) and partner with content creators to drive organic keyword rankings and non-branded traffic.
3. Paid Performance Advertising & Acquisition Media
- Campaign Strategy & Execution: Plan, build, and optimize paid acquisition campaigns across Meta Ads, Google Ads (PMax/Shopping), TikTok, and Microsoft Ads.
- ROAS & Budget Efficiency: Monitor daily ad performance to achieve target Return on Ad Spend (ROAS) and Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC) metrics.
- Tracking & Attribution: Ensure full tracking accuracy by setting up, maintaining, and auditing tracking pixels, Conversion API (CAPI), and analytics integrations across all stores.
- Creative Alignment: Brief creative assets (hooks, video scripts, ad copy, landing pages) to support paid ad funnels and seasonal promotions.
- Performance Tracking & Analytics: Deliver reports, whether periodically or on-demand, detailing media expenditure, ROAS, click-through conversions, and overall campaign effectiveness.
4. Content & Merchandising Quality Control
- Product-Related Content: Manage product descriptions, imagery/video uploads, specs, sizing charts, and SEO metadata (meta titles, descriptions, image alt tags).
- Data Integrity: Conduct regular audits across all products and collections to ensure zero inaccuracies in pricing, copy, or imagery.
3. Site Maintenance, Theme & Feature Upgrades
- Theme Upgrades & Maintenance: Execute and oversee Shopify theme updates, custom code adjustments, and app integrations without compromising site stability or performance.
- Feature Rollouts: Research, test, and implement new Shopify features, third-party apps, or custom workflows to improve the user experience and conversions.
- Store Audits: Monitor site speed, mobile responsiveness, and broken links across all pages regularly.
4. New Store Expansion, Creation & Migration
- Multi-Site Management: Scale operations across multiple Shopify sites—regional, B2B, or brand-specific stores when required.
- New Store Builds: Lead the technical setup of new Shopify stores from scratch (settings, domain setup, payment gateways, app installations, and design templates).
- Store Migrations: Manage end-to-end migration processes (products, customer data, historical orders, redirects) when acquiring, consolidating, or re-platforming stores.
Pay: RM2,800.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
