Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Finance Manager to oversee our finance and accounting operations. The ideal candidate should have solid experience in the logistics industry and be familiar with Asolute system or similar logistics management systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the full spectrum of finance and accounting functions.
• Prepare and review monthly management accounts, financial reports, budgets and forecasts.
• Monitor cash flow, accounts receivable and accounts payable.
• Manage customer credit control and follow up on outstanding payments.
• Review financial performance and provide financial analysis to management.
• Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing.
• Monitor revenue, costs and profitability of logistics operations.
• Work closely with Operations, Customer Service and Management to ensure accurate billing and financial records.
• Review and monitor transactions in the Asolute system and ensure proper financial data and job costing are maintained.
• Ensure proper reconciliation between logistics operational records and accounting records.
• Liaise with auditors, tax agents, bankers and other external parties.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, taxation and statutory requirements.
• Establish and maintain effective financial controls and accounting procedures.
• Lead, supervise and develop the finance team.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to management.
• Perform other finance-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Professional qualification such as ACCA, MIA, CPA or equivalent is an advantage.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant finance/accounting experience, with managerial or supervisory experience.
• Relevant experience in logistics, freight forwarding, transportation or supply chain is required.
• Hands-on experience with Asolute system is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with logistics job costing, billing, customer accounts and operational transactions.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow management and internal controls.
• Good understanding of Malaysian accounting and taxation requirements.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and leadership skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Good command of English and Mandarin, both written and spoken, is preferred.
• Able to work independently and communicate effectively with different departments.
