Mechanical Engineer –Construction Industry
Role Overview
The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for designing, installing, andmaintaining mechanical systems within construction projects. This role ensuresthat all mechanical components — such as HVAC, plumbing, and fire protectionsystems — meet safety, efficiency, and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
Mechanical Design: Develop detailed mechanical layouts, schematics, and loadcalculations for building systems.
HVAC System Planning: Design and oversee heating, ventilation, andair-conditioning systems to ensure optimal performance and energy efficiency.
Plumbing & Piping: Plan and supervise installation of water supply, drainage, and gas piping systems.
Fire Protection Systems: Design and coordinate fire suppression and safetysystems according to building codes.
Installation Supervision: Monitor on-site installation and commissioning ofmechanical equipment and systems.
Safety & Compliance: Ensure adherence to mechanical codes, workplacesafety, and environmental regulations.
Project Coordination: Collaborate with electrical, civil, and architecturalteams to integrate mechanical systems seamlessly.
Documentation & Reporting: Prepare technical reports, drawings, andprogress updates for management and clients.
