Responsibilities
Job Summary
We are looking for a responsible and organised
Purchasing Assistant
to support our purchasing and procurement activities. The successful candidate will assist with sourcing materials, obtaining quotations, placing purchase orders, and coordinating deliveries with suppliers.
Job Responsibilities
Assist in sourcing and purchasing materials, products, and services.
Request and compare quotations from suppliers.
Prepare purchase orders and follow up on order status.
Liaise with suppliers regarding pricing, availability, delivery schedules, and product specifications.
Monitor stock levels and assist with replenishment when required.
Coordinate with warehouse, accounts, and other departments on purchasing matters.
Check supplier invoices and delivery documents for accuracy.
Maintain proper records of purchase orders, quotations, invoices, and supplier information.
Follow up on outstanding orders and ensure timely delivery.
Assist in negotiating prices and terms with suppliers when required.
Perform general administrative and purchasing duties.
Carry out other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
Minimum GCE O-Level / N-Level or equivalent.
Previous purchasing or administrative experience is preferred.
Experience in building and construction materials will be an advantage.
Good communication and negotiation skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
Responsible, hardworking, and able to work independently.
Able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
Fresh graduates or candidates with no relevant experience are welcome to apply.
Working Hours
Monday to Saturday, 8.30am to 5.30pm, 8.30am to 1.00pm. 5.5days
Salary
$2500.00 to $4200.00 per month, depending on experience and qualifications.
