About the role

We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Executive to join our growing team at MAG Aquaculture Sdn. Bhd. in our Mont Kiara, Kuala Lumpur office. This full-time role will be responsible for providing strategic HR support and guidance to our business, ensuring we attract, develop and retain top talent.

What you'll be doing

• Manage the full spectrum of payroll processing activities ensuring its timeliness, accuracy and compliance with the regulations of local statutory bodies.
• Manage foreign worker documentation including quota applications and work permit processes for farm workers
• Advise managers on HR policies, procedures and best practices to ensure compliance and consistency across the organisation.
• Responsible for HR processes for the entire employee life cycle and all HR documentation including letter of appointment, transfer, confirmation, resignation, bonus, increments, salary adjustments and others.
• Oversee the administration of payroll, benefits, and other HR services.
• Maintain and update employee records and payroll database to ensure data accuracy and security.
• Maintain accurate employee records and ensure data privacy and confidentiality.
• Collaborate with department heads to identify staffing needs and succession planning.
• Participate in HR site visits to the Company's farms, processing facilities and other operational locations as required.
• Prepare a comprehensive HR Site Visit Report following each visit, highlighting key observations, issues identified, risks, areas for improvement and recommended actions.
• Support HR initiatives, projects and process improvement activities.
• Assist in the implementation and enhancement of HR systems, tools and digitalisation initiatives.
• Provide HR insights and summaries to support decision-making by the HR Manager and Management.
• Perform any other reasonable HR-related tasks, duties or assignments as may be assigned from time to time by the Head of Department/Management.

What we're looking for

• 3-5 years' experience in a generalist HR role, preferably in the consulting or professional services industry.
• Familiarity with Malaysian employment laws and HR best practices
• Strong business acumen with the ability to understand and support the strategic goals of the organization
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively engage with employees at all levels
• Proficient in HR information systems and data analysis to drive HR decision-making
• Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field
• Wiling to travel to Sabah for work as required
