Key Responsibilities:
- Handle end-to-end purchasing activities for local projects, including sourcing, quotation evaluation, negotiation and costing management.
- Manage procurement activities for import shipments and coordinate closely with suppliers, particularly China-based suppliers.
- Manage supplier sourcing, evaluation, performance monitoring and development of alternative suppliers.
- Drive cost-saving initiatives through effective sourcing and negotiation.
- Coordinate with internal departments and project teams to ensure timely delivery and smooth procurement operations.
- Ensure purchasing activities comply with company policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years relevant experience in purchasing / procurement, preferably in project-based industries.
- Strong sourcing, negotiation and supplier management skills.
- Good commercial and costing awareness.
- Ability to speak and read in both English and Bahasa Malaysia. Mandarin is an added advantage due to the needs to communicate with China counterparts.
- Able to work independently and manage multiple projects / priorities.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
