Key Role:

• To develop strategy and plan for procurement activities.
• To ensure smooth running for purchasing activities with vendor/suppliers.
• To ensure price of raw material in control.

Key Responsibility:

• To support and provide relevant information to Department Head for procurement strategy planning.
• To ensure adequate communication with the suppliers for best price and term negotiation, evaluate existing and new suppliers' performance, by conducting price comparison, ranking and selecting based on DRM's standard and requirement, as well as ISO standard requirement.
• To select new suppliers and determine alternative materials and approaches if necessary.
• To assist Department Head in term of vendor/suppliers development of raw material and price.
• To perform commodity hedging, if necessary to ensure best and stable pricing for raw material.
• To ensure that applicable parts procurement from overseas are fully exempted by treasury/customs.
• To provide support and handle purchasing issue for the spare part section.
• To comply with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 requirement and standard in supplier selection, supplier audit, maintenance of raw material floor, documentation, and compliance of SOP, WIP.
• To liaise with Department Head for enhancing interdepartmental activities.
• To promote & inculcate Safety & Health, Environmental and quality awareness among the workforce.
• To ensure compliance to DRM QSHE Management System and other related requirements.

Prerequisite Skill & Knowledge:

1. Thorough understanding of procurement procedure, including purchasing, shipping, delivery, receiving, preparing and issuing.

2. Full understanding of the sales and production cycle of the air-conditioning industry and be able to comply with the procurement activities for best industry practice.

3. Knowledge on customs, tariff codes and dealings with government agencies.

4. Knowledge on ISO Standards, 5S and production safety policy and procedure.

5. Familiar with manual SAP enabled procurement activities.

6. Familiar with Microsoft Office.

Pay: From RM3,500.00 per month
