Job Description

Responsibilities

We’re looking for a Permanent Part-Time Enrichment Instructor to join the Whizz Kidz team and conduct engaging enrichment programmes for children and youths ages 4–16 across schools in Singapore.

This is a fixed monthly part-time position for someone who enjoys working with young people and is comfortable teaching across a variety of STEAM and creative programmes. Training, lesson plans and programme materials will be provided or developed together with our team.

Programmes You May Teach

Depending on your experience and strengths, classes may include:

  • Robotics & 3D Printing
  • STEM & hands-on Science
  • Creative Arts, including Speech & Drama and Rhythm & Movement
  • Other STEAM and enrichment programmes as required

Working Hours

During school term time:

  • Monday–Friday: 1-hour class each day, scheduled between 3:00pm–5:00pm
  • Saturday: 9:00am–11:00am
  • Classes are conducted at various school locations across Singapore.
  • No regular classes during school holidays unless otherwise arranged.

Salary

Fixed salary: S$1,500/month

  • CPF option available
  • Consistent monthly pay during the agreed employment period
  • Training and teaching materials provided

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct fun, structured and age-appropriate enrichment classes for students ages 4–16.
  • Teach across assigned STEAM, technology and/or creative arts programmes.
  • Familiarise yourself with lesson plans and prepare appropriately for each class.
  • Support the development or adaptation of activities where required.
  • Manage classroom behaviour positively and effectively.
  • Ensure equipment and materials are used safely and responsibly.
  • Communicate classroom incidents or concerns promptly to the programme team.
  • Maintain a professional and reliable presence when representing Whizz Kidz at schools.

Key Requirements

  • Experience working with children and youths ages 4–16.
  • Confident facilitating groups and managing a classroom independently.
  • Comfortable adapting your teaching style for different ages and ability levels.
  • Comfortable learning and teaching multiple enrichment programmes.
  • Interest or experience in STEM, robotics, technology, science, performing arts or creative education.
  • Patient, energetic, engaging and adaptable.
  • Reliable and able to commit consistently to the full weekly schedule.
  • Able and willing to travel to different school locations across Singapore.
  • Willing to undergo background checks required for school settings.
  • Legal working rights in Singapore.

Bonus

  • Experience with LEGO Robotics, 3D printing or coding.
  • Background in Science, Engineering or STEM education.
  • Experience in Speech & Drama, music, rhythm/movement or performing arts.
  • Previous experience teaching CCAs, enrichment programmes, camps or workshops.

Training & Support

Full training will be provided for the programmes assigned to you, including programme-specific training, lesson plans and activity guides, classroom management guidance, teaching materials and equipment, and ongoing support from the Whizz Kidz team.

Interview & Selection Process

Candidates will undergo a 3-stage selection process:

  • Initial Video Interview – Discuss experience, availability and suitability.
  • Face-to-Face Interview & Demo – Training and a short teaching demonstration.
  • Tryout Class – Conduct a supervised class for final evaluation.
