Project: Ongoing Game Development Project


About the Role

We’re looking for a creative and passionate Game Writer to join our ongoing game development project.

You’ll be responsible for shaping the game’s story, characters, dialogue, and overall narrative experience, working closely with our game designers, artists, programmers, and other members of the development team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and expand the game's story, narrative structure, and lore.
  • Collaborate with Game Designers and other team members to ensure the narrative supports gameplay and player experience.
  • Adapt and revise scripts based on feedback from the development team.
  • Ensure storytelling remains engaging while fitting within gameplay, technical, and production requirements.
  • Help establish a consistent tone, voice, and narrative style throughout the game.


Requirements

  • Proven experience in game writing, narrative design, screenwriting, creative writing, or a related field.
  • Excellent command of English, both written and verbal.
  • Familiarity with video games and how narrative integrates with gameplay.
  • Able to work independently in a remote environment while communicating effectively with a distributed team.
  • Comfortable receiving feedback and iterating on written content.
  • Strong attention to detail and consistency.


Nice to Have

  • Experience with narrative design or interactive storytelling.
  • Experience writing for specific game genres such as RPG, adventure, action, horror, or narrative-driven games.
  • Familiarity with game development workflows and production pipelines.
  • Experience using narrative/game-writing tools such as Twine, Ink, Articy:Draft, or similar tools.
