Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Perform 6G, MIG, TIG and ARC welding as required.
Cut, grind, drill, fit and fabricate steel parts.
Repair cracks, brackets, chassis and damaged metal structures.
Assist with installing lorry cranes, hooklifts, tailgates and waste equipment onto trucks.
Carry out modification, reinforcement, fitting and assembly work.
Read and follow basic engineering drawings and work instructions.
Check weld quality, measurements and alignment after completing each job.
Prepare materials, welding machines and tools before starting work.
Follow safety procedures and wear the required PPE.
Keep the work area clean and take proper care of tools and equipment.
Requirements
ITE, NITEC or an equivalent technical qualification is preferred.
At least 2 years of welding or fabrication experience involving heavy vehicles, construction equipment or heavy machinery.
A valid 6G Welding Certificate is preferred.
Able to perform MIG, TIG and ARC welding.
Able to use cutting, grinding and drilling equipment.
Able to read simple engineering drawings and use basic measuring tools.
Oxy-acetylene cutting experience is an advantage.
A valid Singapore Class 3 Driving Licence is an advantage.
Willing to work overtime when required.
Applicants with different levels of relevant experience are welcome to apply. Salary will be offered based on relevant experience and skills.
Working Hours
Monday to Friday: 8.00am to 5.00pm
Saturday: 8.00am to 12.00pm
