About Foxwood LLC

Foxwood LLC is a Singapore-based law practice advising corporates, founders, investors and family-owned businesses on corporate and commercial matters, M&A, cross-border transactions, regulatory compliance, fintech, capital markets and related strategic matters. We work across Singapore, Greater China and the wider region.

We are seeking a commercially minded, hands-on Business Development & Marketing Manager to strengthen our market profile, develop client opportunities and implement targeted business-development initiatives across our practice areas.

The role

The Business Development & Marketing Manager will work closely with the Managing Partner, partners and fee earners to translate the firm’s strategic priorities into practical client-development, relationship-management and marketing programmes. This is a mid-level role for someone who combines strong writing and project-management skills with sound commercial judgment and the confidence to work directly with senior stakeholders.
Key responsibilities

Business development

  • Partner with lawyers to identify, pursue and track client-development opportunities, cross-selling opportunities and strategic referral relationships.
  • Develop and maintain sector, client and prospect plans for priority practice areas, including corporate/M&A, cross-border investment, fintech and regulatory matters.
  • Research clients, prospects, sectors, transactions, competitors and market developments to support pitches, meetings and relationship management.
  • Coordinate high-quality pitch materials, credentials, capability statements, RFP/RFQ responses, proposals and presentation decks.
  • Maintain a structured opportunity pipeline and provide periodic reporting on leads, pitches, conversion and BD activity.
  • Support preparation for client meetings, conferences, business trips and relationship-building activity in Singapore and, where relevant, regional markets.
  • Help develop and manage referral relationships with professional-services firms, intermediaries, investors, industry bodies and overseas counsel.

Marketing and communications

  • Create and manage an annual marketing and communications calendar aligned with the firm’s strategic priorities.
  • Draft, edit and coordinate client alerts, articles, deal announcements, website content, newsletters, brochures and lawyer biographies.
  • Plan and execute thought-leadership campaigns, including timely commentary on legal and regulatory developments.
  • Manage the firm’s social-media presence, particularly LinkedIn, while ensuring content is consistent with the firm’s brand, professional obligations and approval processes.
  • Coordinate website updates, SEO-oriented content initiatives, email campaigns and digital marketing analytics with external vendors where required.
  • Ensure brand consistency across all external-facing materials, templates and communications.

Candidate Profile

  • Experience in a professional-services, legal, financial-services, consulting, accounting or B2B environment.
  • Excellent written and spoken English, with the ability to turn technical or legal input into clear, commercially relevant client-facing content.
  • Strong project-management skills and a proven ability to manage multiple deadlines and stakeholders.
  • Experience preparing proposals, pitch materials, presentations, client communications and event programmes.
  • Confidence working with senior professionals and the ability to influence without formal authority.
  • Sound discretion and professional judgment when handling confidential client and firm information.
  • Prior experience in a law firm, particularly supporting corporate, transactional, financial-regulatory or cross-border practices.
  • Familiarity with Singapore’s professional-services market and regional business-development practices.
