• Adapt lessons to suit each student’s unique learning needs and ability level.
• Provide one-to-one or small-group support to help students succeed academically.
• Teach reading, writing, math, communication, and language skills using engaging and specialized approaches.
• Guide students in developing emotional regulation and healthy coping skills.
• Teach important social skills such as sharing, turn-taking, cooperation, and conversation.
• Use visual schedules, sensory supports, and assistive tools to make learning more accessible and enjoyable.
• Encourage students to build independence in daily living and self-help skills.
• Monitor each student’s progress and adjust goals to support continued growth.
• Work closely with parents, therapists, and other teachers to provide consistent support.
• Promote inclusion and meaningful participation in mainstream classrooms when appropriate.
• Create a warm, safe, structured, and supportive environment where students can thrive.
