Job Scope

This is a dedicated tendering position focusing on quantity take-off, BQ pricing and tender cost preparation. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Review tender drawings, specifications, Bills of Quantities (BQ) and other tender documents.
• Carry out detailed quantity take-off from tender drawings.
• Complete and price Bills of Quantities (BQ) and tender pricing schedules.
• Prepare cost estimates and rate build-ups for C&S works.
• Prepare material, labour, plant and subcontractor pricing.
• Send enquiries / RFQs to suppliers and subcontractors for tender quotation.
• Follow up and obtain quotations within tender deadlines.
• Prepare quotation comparisons and select suitable rates for tender pricing.
• Check supplier and subcontractor quotations for exclusions and missing scope.
• Review tender addenda, revised drawings and clarifications and update quantities and prices accordingly.
• Identify discrepancies or missing items between drawings, specifications and BQ.
• Prepare tender pricing summaries for management review.
• Revise and finalise tender pricing before submission.
• Maintain historical tender rates and quotation records.
• Handle multiple tender exercises when required.

Main C&S Work Coverage

Candidate should be familiar with quantity take-off and pricing for:

• Earthworks
• Piling and foundation works
• Reinforced concrete
• Reinforcement
• Formwork
• Structural steel
• Precast concrete
• Drainage
• External civil works
• General building / structural works

Requirements

• Degree in Quantity Surveying.
• 3–5 years of relevant working experience.
• Hands-on experience in construction tendering, BQ pricing and quantity take-off is required.
• Able to read C&S drawings and specifications independently.
• Able to carry out quantity take-off accurately.
• Able to complete and price BQ independently.
• Familiar with subcontractor and supplier enquiry / quotation process.
• Able to prepare basic rate build-ups.
• Good knowledge of construction materials and market rates.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with quantity take-off software will be an advantage.
• Main Contractor tender experience will be an advantage.
• Good command of English and Mandarin
• Detail-oriented and able to work within tender deadlines.
