Manager, Placement (Health Solutions)
We're hiring! We are looking for a Manager, Placement to join our Health Solutions team in KL, Malaysia. This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from the office.

What the day will look like
Networking with all carriers and secure the best available terms in insurance placement
Coordinate with participating carriers on any matters regarding the RFP submissions/quotations
Review all proposals, highlight to participating carriers any missing information/clarification and enter quotation in the WCB (World Class Broking) platform
Upload all data requirements in WCB platform including but not limited to member listing, claim listing, updated past 3 years claim data & loss ratio summary
Ensure that all data entered are accurate
Coordinate with participating insurers for any enquiries on the RFP
Follow up all placement documents or any pending items from participating carriers
Ensure all broking and placement duties are carried out on timely manner
Support and liaison with Regional Broking team and HS GCC
to complete the broking and placement duties together
Data, carrier insights and RFP scoring for all carriers
Advise the right renewal strategy to AM team
Ensure accurate and relevant deliverables are provided to AM team within the expected timeline
Always keep up with the latest products and features offered by all the carriers
Work with the Malaysia HS teams and all related parties to ensure all clients' needs and expectations are met
Manage the placement team and guide the placement executives to carry out their responsibility promptly
Contributing to ongoing client satisfactory, retention, profitability
Ensure all communications and documentations are accurate for future reference and audit purposes
To add on to produce the renewal proposal based on the quotations from carriers
To collaborate, where necessary with other teams on joint opportunities
Skills and experience that will lead to success
Educational Background
Bachelor’s degree in Insurance, Business, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience
Professional insurance qualifications are an advantage
Skills & Experience
Minimum 5–8 years of experience in insurance broking and/or placement
Proven experience managing complex placements and senior insurer negotiations
Prior experience leading teams or specialists within a placement or broking function
Strong understanding of the Malaysian insurance market, including regulatory and governance requirements
Deep technical knowledge of insurance placement and market dynamics
Strong commercial acumen and sound judgment
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
Ability to expertly influence at senior client, insurer, and internal leadership levels
Organised, resilient, and comfortable operating in a fast‑paced environment
