1. Role Purpose
The Project Manager is responsible for the
execution,coordination, and monitoring of individual projects
within Hatch’sinnovation programs. These projects include Proof-of-Concepts (POCs), pilots, trials, and other in-programme initiatives.
The role ensures that assigned projects are delivered on schedule, within scope, and to the required quality standards. The Project Manager supports Program Managers in operational execution and maintains disciplined documentation, stakeholder management, and reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
2. Key Responsibilities
A. Project Planning & Execution
Manage the end-to-end delivery of assigned POCs, pilots, and innovation trials.
Develop project plans including scope, timelines, resource requirements, and deliverables.
Coordinate operational and logistical requirements for project execution.
Ensure adherence to project timelines, milestones, and quality standards.
B. Coordination with Startups & Solution Providers
Serve as the primary operational point of contact for startups participating in POCs/pilots.
Ensure startups understand project requirements, deliverables, and reporting expectations.
Facilitate access to trial environments, technical resources, and Mission Partner stakeholders.
Track startup progress and support the resolution of operational challenges.
C. Mission Partner & Stakeholder Coordination
Support Program Managers in aligning project scope with Mission Partner needs.
Schedule and coordinate project meetings, reviews, demos, and feedback sessions.
Document and track Mission Partner feedback throughout the project lifecycle.
Maintain strong and professional stakeholder relationships at working levels.
D. Project Monitoring, Reporting & Documentation
Monitor project status, risks, and progress against agreed milestones.
Maintain structured documentation, including:
progress reports
risk/issue logs
meeting minutes
change logs
final project summaries
Ensure all reporting is accurate, timely, and compliant with governance standards.
Escalate issues to Program Managers and VP, Programs when necessary.
E. Governance, Quality Assurance & Compliance
Execute projects in accordance with internal SOPs, frameworks, and quality standards.
Ensure proper documentation control and adherence to compliance requirements.
Support delivery governance activities, including checkpoint reviews and quality assessments.
F. Administrative & Budget-Related Responsibilities
Support procurement, vendor coordination, and administrative processes associated with project execution.
Track project expenditures within allocated budgets (without access to Mission Partner contractual values).
Ensure accurate submission of deliverables and supporting documents.
G. Continuous Improvement
Capture lessons learned and contribute to refinement of project workflows and templates.
Provide feedback to Program Managers to support improvement of in-service programs and innovation processes.
Support organisational knowledge management efforts.
3. Qualifications & Experience
Experience
2–5 years of experience in project management, innovation delivery, operations management, or technology pilots.
Experience working with startups, government agencies, or multi-stakeholder environments is preferred.
Experience managing detailed project plans and operational coordination.
