Responsibilities
What The Role Is
You provide sound and timely legal advice to MINDEF/SAF departments on a wide spectrum of legal issues, in the areas of civil law, international law, operations law and military law.
What You Will Be Working On
You provide sound and timely legal advice to MINDEF/SAF departments on a wide spectrum of legal issues, in the areas of civil law, international law, operations law and military law.
What You Will Be Working On
- Provide legal counsel
- Handle military prosecutions in the military courts
- Review and draft contracts
- Support legislation matters
- Conduct legal training
- Advise on operations law
- Support SAF exercises and deployments
Challenge(s) - Interacting with a wide spectrum of stakeholders (both legally and non-legally trained) and communicating legal advice clearly and effectively
- Being familiar with the wide areas of operations and policy in MINDEF
- Education in Law
- At least 2 years Post Qualification Experience (PQE) is preferred
- International Law background is advantageous
- Strong legal analysis and reasoning skills
- Good writing and communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team
