Job Description

Responsibilities

Position Summary

The Piping Coordinator is responsible for overseeing quality assurance and control activities associated withour client's FPSO drydock project. The role ensures compliance with project specifications, international codes and standards, client requirements, and regulatory requirements throughout fabrication, installation, testing, for mechanical completion.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Assurance & Quality Control

Review project specifications, Quality Assurance Plans (QAP), Inspection & Test Plans (ITP), welding procedures, and quality documentation prior to construction activities.

Perform inspections in accordance with contract specifications, project procedures, class requirements, and international standards.

Monitor fabrication, construction, installation, testing, and commissioning activities to ensure compliance with quality requirements.

Conduct audits, surveillance inspections, and quality assessments to improve project performance and compliance.

Piping Inspection

Perform piping inspections for fabrication, installation, testing, and reinstatement activities.

Verify piping systems against P&IDs, Isometric Drawings, Test Packs, and applicable specifications.

Witness and approve: Hydrostatic Testing, Pneumatic Testing, Nitrogen Leak Testing, Gross Air Leak Testing and Chemical Cleaning Oil Flushing.

Support mechanical completion and pre-commissioning activities.

NDT Coordination & Testing

Coordinate and monitor NDT activities in accordance with project requirements and NDT plans.

Review and verify: Radiographic Testing (RT), Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Dye Penetrant Testing (PT) & Visual Testing (VT).

Ensure test results meet client acceptance criteria and applicable standards.

Safety & Compliance

Ensure compliance with HSE plans, permit-to-work systems, and client safety requirements.

Participate in safety meetings, toolbox talks, risk assessments, and workplace inspections.

Promote a strong safety culture and environmental compliance across all project activities.
