Job Description
Responsibilities
The ideal candidate combines strong fund accounting and investment operations expertise with hands-on automation capabilities, including advanced VBA development and AI-assisted productivity tools. You will play a key role in enhancing operational efficiency, improving data integrity, strengthening controls, and driving scalable finance and operations infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end fund accounting, NAV production, and fund reporting processes.
- Coordinate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Review financial statements, investor reports, and deliverables prepared by fund administrators and service providers.
- Monitor cash positions, liquidity, and cash flow forecasts to support investment and operational decisions.
- Develop and implement workflow automation solutions using VBA, Python, AI-assisted tools, and other technologies.
- Design and maintain automated data infrastructure and reporting pipelines to streamline data collection, aggregation, monitoring, and analysis.
- Build scalable data-driven solutions to generate actionable insights, identify trends, and support investment, finance, and operational decision-making.
- Streamline manual processes by building automated reporting, reconciliation, control, and data validation frameworks.
- Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance efficiency, scalability, controls, and data integrity.
- Lead system implementations, upgrades, workflow redesign, and digital transformation initiatives.
- Act as a key liaison between Finance, Operations, Technology, and external stakeholders, translating business needs into practical solutions.
- Support governance, risk management, compliance requirements, and other strategic operational initiatives.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in fund accounting, fund administration, asset management, investment operations, consulting, family offices, or financial services environments.
- Demonstrated experience leading process improvement, operational transformation, automation, or system implementation initiatives.
- Advanced VBA programming skills with a track record of developing workflow automation solutions.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
- Strong understanding of fund accounting, NAV oversight, investment accounting, and fund operations.
- Experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools and modern productivity platforms to accelerate automation initiatives is advantageous.
- Strong ability to bridge business and technology teams by translating operational requirements into technical solutions.
- Strong growth mindset with a solution-oriented approach and proven stakeholder management capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Cantonese.
