Financial Management & Strategy
- Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the Group's business objectives.
- Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning across the Group and its subsidiaries.
- Monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts and recommend corrective or improvement actions.
- Provide financial input and analysis to support business expansion, investments, mergers and acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives.
- Support the Executive Director in evaluating key financial and commercial decisions.
Group Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting across the Group.
- Review Group and subsidiary management accounts and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Oversee Group consolidation and ensure consistency of financial information across subsidiaries.
- Present financial performance, KPIs, cash flow, and key financial matters to the Executive Director.
- Conduct financial and profitability analysis and provide recommendations to improve business performance and efficiency.
- Monitor significant financial variances and ensure appropriate follow-up actions are taken.
Budgeting & Performance Management
- Lead the annual Group budgeting process and coordinate budget preparation with subsidiaries and department heads.
- Establish appropriate financial targets and monitoring mechanisms.
- Review actual performance against budget and forecast.
- Identify significant deviations, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Provide management with timely financial information to support business decisions.
Cash Flow & Treasury Management
- Oversee Group cash flow, liquidity, and working capital requirements.
- Review cash flow forecasts and ensure sufficient funding for operational and strategic requirements.
- Oversee banking relationships, financing facilities, borrowings, and treasury activities.
- Monitor financing costs, banking facilities, and funding requirements.
- Provide direction and oversight to the Treasury function on cash management, payment planning, and funding matters.
- Identify potential liquidity risks and recommend appropriate funding or cash management actions.
Financial Controls, Tax & Compliance
- Establish and maintain appropriate financial policies, procedures, approval controls, and governance frameworks.
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory requirements.
- Oversee corporate tax, SST, e-Invoicing, and other financial statutory matters with the Accounts team and external advisers.
- Coordinate external audits, tax matters, and regulatory financial reporting.
- Ensure proper financial documentation, controls, and audit trails are maintained.
- Work with Internal Audit / Risk & Compliance on financial control findings and ensure agreed corrective actions are implemented.
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, manage, and develop the Group Finance team.
- Provide direction and oversight to the Accounts Manager and Senior Treasury Executive.
- Ensure timely completion of monthly closing, financial reporting, treasury activities, tax requirements, and other Finance deliverables.
- Establish clear responsibilities, reporting timelines, and performance expectations within the Finance team.
- Develop the capabilities of Finance team members and promote accountability and continuous improvement.
- Drive standardisation, digitalisation, and automation of Finance processes across the Group.
Business & Group Support
- Work closely with subsidiary management and department heads on financial planning and performance matters.
- Provide financial advice and analysis to support commercial and operational decision-making.
- Support evaluation of new projects, investments, business opportunities, and capital expenditure.
- Promote consistent financial policies, reporting standards, and controls across the Group.
Requirement
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
- Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CIMA, ICAEW, or equivalent is preferred.
- Minimum 6–10 years of relevant finance and accounting experience, including management or leadership responsibilities.
- Experience in Group or multi-entity financial management is strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, treasury, taxation, and corporate finance.
- Good understanding of Malaysian accounting standards, taxation, and statutory requirements.
- Strong financial analysis, business partnering, and problem-solving capabilities.8. Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and experienced with accounting/ERP systems.
- High level of integrity, commercial awareness, and professional judgement.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience managing Finance operations across multiple subsidiaries or business units.
- Experience in trading, manufacturing, petroleum, logistics, or related industries is an advantage.
- Experience in banking facilities, financing, investment evaluation, or corporate exercises is an added advantage.
- Experience in Finance process improvement, ERP implementation, automation, or digitalisation is preferred.
Pay: RM10,000.00 - RM11,000.00 per month
