Job Responsibilities

• Support new product introduction (NPI) projects from the beginning until production.
• Support RFQ and project cost studies, including manpower, productivity, OEE, scrap and equipment investment.
• Check whether new projects are practical and suitable for production.
• Support the design and setup of new processes, jigs, fixtures and equipment.
• Support FAT and SAT for new equipment.
• Check and approve BOM and SAP routing for new projects.
• Lead new production line and equipment setup.
• Review process documents and work instructions.
• Lead trial runs, analyze results and follow up on issues.
• Make sure new projects are launched on time.
• Handover completed projects from NPI to mass production.
• Improve production capacity, productivity and process capability.
• Conduct VSM, layout, takt time, cycle time and line balancing studies.
• Plan manpower, production space and capacity.
• Maintain and update SAP routing.
• Ensure production processes meet quality requirements.
• Develop error-proofing solutions to prevent defects.
• Support jig and equipment improvement.
• Analyze product and process problems and implement corrective actions.
• Manage engineering changes and samples.
• Lead 8D problem-solving when required.
• Participate in QRQC and standardized work audits.

Job Requirements

• Degree in Engineering, such as Mechanical, Electronic, Industrial or Acoustic Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in NPI and Manufacturing Engineering.
• Experience in new product introduction and production transfer projects.
• Experience working with overseas or cross-country teams.
• Knowledge of IATF 16949 and 5 Core Tools.
• Knowledge of new process, jig, fixture and equipment introduction.
• Good understanding of takt time, cycle time, line balancing, OEE and productivity.
• Experience in capacity planning and improvement.
• Knowledge of 5 Why, DOE, DMAIC and 8D problem-solving tools.
• Able to use CAD for jig and fixture design.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Hands-on, detailed and problem-solving mindset.

Pay: RM6,000.00 - RM7,000.00 per month
