Role Introduction

Reports to: Portfolio Solution Manager

This position sits within the Information Technology (IMT) Department Subsidiary Solution Centre, specifically Vogue Laundry, one of our subsidiaries, which provides a seamless laundry experience designed to meet the highest standards of reliability and quality.

The Subsidiary Solution Centre is committed to delivering innovative, scalable, and secure technology solutions that enhance member engagement, streamline loyalty operations, and enable data-driven personalization throughout the customer lifecycle.

As the Solution Lead, you will play a crucial role in translating business requirements into functional and technical specifications. You will work closely with both internal and external stakeholders to drive the end-to-end solution development of software applications, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, user-friendly applications which reflect Cathay’s vision to becoming one of the world’s greatest service brands.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with business stakeholders to understand priorities, challenges and requirements, and translate them into effective technology solutions
• Support the planning and delivery of IT initiatives within the assigned business domain
• Work closely with developers, analysts and architects to design scalable and high-quality technology solutions
• Lead the development, implementation and support of IT products and applications that meet business needs
• Provide technical guidance and serve as an escalation point for Solution Analysts throughout the solution lifecycle
• Ensure solutions meet quality standards through testing of security, performance and system integration requirements
• Drive continuous improvement by recommending and implementing enhancements to applications and IT practices
• Manage project activities and collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to achieve delivery objectives
• Keep up to date with emerging technologies, industry trends and business developments to identify innovation opportunities
• Contribute to team development through resource planning, coaching and knowledge sharing where applicable

Requirements

• Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline, with a Master's degree being an advantage
• Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in Information Technology
• Hands-on experience in software development and system analysis
• Strong business analysis and solution definition capabilities
• Experience in system testing and solution delivery across the application lifecycle
• Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships with business stakeholders and clients
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Self-motivated, innovative and passionate about delivering business-focused technology solutions
• Knowledge of the airline or travel industry and software development expertise would be advantageous
