Role Description
Job Description
- Responsible for financial accounting, reports and full set of accounts.
- To handle daily accounting tasks, e.g. key-in computerized accounting system, prepare debit / credit notes, journal vouchers, bank reconciliation, etc.
- To prepare quarterly management accounts and other ad hoc financial analysis.
- To ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
- To ensure smooth operation and payment to suppliers and sub-contractors.
- To check closely all bills and invoices to ensure punctual and accurate payment.
- To liaise with bankers / auditors / tax agents / company secretaries / lawyers/ landlords / leasing agents.
- To support process improvements and system enhancements for greater efficiency.
- To assist with budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Any other duties not mentioned but deemed necessary.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in financial accounting and reporting, including general ledger management, account reconciliation, and preparation of financial statements.
- Experience in accounts payable and receivable, billing, invoicing, and cash flow management within a corporate or project-based environment.
- Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking, and variance analysis, preferably in the construction and property development industry.
- Ability to ensure compliance with local accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal control procedures.
- Hands-on experience with accounting and ERP software, along with solid Microsoft Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
- Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving capabilities to support informed financial decision-making.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with project teams, management, and external parties such as auditors and banks.
- Minimum of a diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; professional certifications (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CIMA) are an advantage.
- Minimum 3-5 years of working experience in a similar role.
