Job Purpose
The Assistant Teacher is responsible for supporting teachers in delivering STEM-based lessons while ensuring children’s safety, engagement, and smooth daily routines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Classroom Support
- Assist teachers in lesson preparation and classroom activities.
- Support small group or individual learning under teacher guidance.
- Help manage classroom routines, transitions, and activities.
- Child Care & Well-being
- Ensure children’s safety, hygiene, and comfort at all times.
- Assist with meals, toileting, nap time, and arrival/dismissal.
- Observe children and report concerns to the teacher.
- Operational Support
- Prepare learning materials and maintain classroom cleanliness.
- Support school events, outings, and activities.
- Follow health, safety, and child protection procedures.
- Team Collaboration
- Work closely with teachers and principal to support daily operations.
- Demonstrate a caring, patient, and positive attitude towards children.
- Certificate/Diploma in Early Childhood Education (or related).
- N/A
- Prior experience in preschool or childcare setting is an advantage.
