Job Description
Responsibilities
- To prepare the Technical Specification, General Arrangement Plan (GAP) and Ship Equipment List (SEL)
- To provide specialist technical assessment and analysis other in-house departments and external parties
- To participate in tests and trials; including oversea FAT
- To plan and ensure that the work for his area of specialization is carried out as per schedule
- To follow up and resolve all the design issues on all design documents promptly and timely to support the schedule
- To check working drawings and ensure that they conform to contractual technical specification, installation control documents
- To check and ensure equipment specification, technical information, functional description document, installation control document and interface design specification are correct and properly maintained, disseminate and use for the preparation of design work activities
- To update Department head on work progress/status and shortcomings on technical issues on projects under his charge
- To ensure the quality control in the design / drawing process
- To model equipment in 2D/3D in the respective room/location
- To ensure timely issue of drawings and documents
- To perform on site checking and to resolve issues at site with various stakeholders
