A leading global MNC retailer is looking for a Statutory Accountant to support the financial reporting, statutory compliance, tax matters, audit activities, and regional finance operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain statutory accounts, financial statements, and financial reports, including month-end and year-end closing.
• Handle corporate tax, deferred tax, transfer pricing, and e-Invoice compliance matters.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax agents, consultants, and regional finance teams on audit, tax, and statutory matters.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliation, variance analysis, intercompany reconciliation, and ensure accurate accounting records.
• Support internal audits, compliance reviews, process improvements, and ad-hoc finance projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with 2–3 years of relevant experience in accounting, finance, audit, or tax.
• Experience in statutory reporting, financial reporting, audit coordination, and month-end closing.
• Good knowledge of corporate tax, deferred tax, accounting standards, and transfer pricing.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and familiar with accounting/ERP systems; experience with Malaysia/Singapore regulations is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
