Core Responsibilities

• Virtualization & Infrastructure: Design, configure, and maintain Virtualized (KVM/VMware/Hyper-V) environments, ensuring optimal resource allocation and high availability.

• Systems Administration: Manage Windows Server infrastructure, including Active Directory lifecycle management, Group Policy (GPO) deployment, and core network services (DNS, DHCP).

• Network & Security Operations: Provision, monitor, and troubleshoot LAN/WAN topologies, site-to-site and remote-access VPNs, subnets, and edge firewalls.

• Maintenance & Reliability: Execute patch management, firmware updates, OS upgrades, and continuous performance monitoring to meet uptime SLAs.

• Data Protection & BCP: Administer automated backup routines, test disaster recovery (DR) protocols, and ensure rapid business continuity execution.

• Support & Vendor Management: Deliver Level 2/3 troubleshooting for complex hardware, software, and network issues while coordinating with external vendors and internal teams on IT projects.

• Documentation: Create and update standard operating procedures (SOPs), network diagrams, and infrastructure inventory logs.

Key Required & Added Technical Skillsets

• Virtualization: VMware vSphere/vCenter, Microsoft Hyper-V

• Operating Systems & Directory Services: Windows Server (2016/2019/2022), Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPO

• Networking & Security: VLANs, Subnetting, Routing/Switching, Firewalls (Fortinet/Palo Alto/CheckPoint/Cisco), VPNs (IPsec/SSL)

• Backup & DR: Veeam Backup & Replication, Windows Server Backup, DR testing methodologies

• Monitoring & Alerts: PRTG, Nagios, LogicMonitor, Opsramp, Zabbix, or SolarWinds

• Cloud & Hybrid Basics: Fundamental experience with Azure or AWS (Hybrid Active Directory / Entra ID integration)

• Scripting & Automation: Basic PowerShell scripting for administrative task automation
