Job Description:

• Create initial PV module layout arrangement for new solar projects
• Interpreting civil and structural documents to for design purposes
• Propose modification solutions to electrical systems when necessary for grid tie-in systems
• Selection and sizing of equipment, PV solar module, inverter, cable, and cable trunking etc., technical analysis, performance, and glare simulations
• Prepare Pvsyst simulation report when required
• Implement electrical design including SLD drawing for solar projects
• Finalize the electrical system design and prepare construction documents
• Check existing drawings and survey existing site conditions to enhance solar PV performance on site
• Identify problem areas that will affect design of new PV systems
• Constantly updated as-built construction drawings and documents for on-going projects
• Besides PV Solar projects, will be involved in electrical projects as well.
• Preparation and calculation for material RFQ list for electrical tenders and firmed projects.
• Preparation of tender offers that involves taking-off, materials / subcontractors outsourcing and costing.
• Able analyze tender requirements, specifications & drawings to minimize costing errors & foresee risks involved.
• Attend site visits to visualize the potential site challenges and risk management.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
• Performs other ad hoc duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Quantity Surveying/ Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• Min 3 years of construction Quantity Surveyor experience for the electrical & solar PV projects in singapore.
• Able to work independently., know well for tender platform such as gebiz etc
• Proficient in MS office applications & AutoCad & PVsyst
• Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.
