Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Middle Distillates Trader role based in Singapore. The Middle Distillates Trader will manage physical and paper trading activities for products such as gasoil, jet fuel, and other middle distillates across IPG’s target markets. Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring market fundamentals and price movements, identifying arbitrage and structured trading opportunities, and executing trades within defined risk and compliance frameworks. The role involves maintaining and developing relationships with suppliers, customers, brokers, and shipping partners, as well as coordinating closely with operations, finance, and risk teams to ensure smooth deal execution and accurate documentation. The trader will prepare regular market and portfolio reports, contribute to strategy discussions, and support the development of new trading flows and instruments.
Qualifications
Strong expertise in middle distillates trading, including gasoil, jet fuel, and related products, with a solid understanding of physical and paper markets.
Proficiency in market analysis and risk management, including price risk evaluation, hedging strategies, and familiarity with derivatives and futures instruments.
Experience in deal structuring and commercial negotiation, with the ability to secure competitive terms and manage long-term supply and offtake agreements.
Operational knowledge of logistics and shipping, including coordination of vessels, terminals, pipelines, and documentation related to physical delivery.
Advanced numerical and analytical skills, with strong proficiency in Excel and trading-related tools; familiarity with trading and risk management systems is an advantage.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively in multicultural teams and engage stakeholders across regions.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field; relevant professional certifications in trading or risk management are a plus.
Previous experience in commodity or petroleum trading, ideally in middle distillates, and a proven track record of commercial performance.

Pay: $9,000.00 - $13,000.00 per month
