Oaks Coffee Co. is looking for a Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team.

We’re looking for someone who takes pride in good food, consistency and cleanliness, and is able to work efficiently in a fast-paced café environment.

As a Chef de Partie, you’ll be responsible for managing your assigned section while working closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations and consistent food quality.

What you’ll be doing

• Prepare and execute dishes according to our recipes and standards
• Manage your assigned kitchen section during service
• Ensure food quality, presentation and consistency
• Complete mise en place and preparation before service
• Maintain proper food handling, hygiene and kitchen safety standards
• Monitor stock levels and assist with stock take and ordering
• Minimise food wastage and maintain proper portion control
• Keep your station clean, organised and well-stocked throughout service
• Assist with receiving and storing ingredients
• Support the team with opening and closing duties
• Work closely with the Head Chef and kitchen team to ensure smooth service
• Assist with menu preparation, testing and development when required

What we’re looking for

• Previous experience as a Chef de Partie / Demi Chef / experienced Kitchen Assistant preferred
• Good understanding of kitchen operations and food preparation
• Able to work independently while being a strong team player
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced service environment
• Good attention to detail and consistency
• Responsible, punctual and organised
• Passionate about food and willing to learn
• Strong understanding of food hygiene and kitchen safety
