Role Description The Project Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Shah Alam, currently involved in a High Voltage. (HV) infrastructure project. This position is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing engineering projects from concept through completion, ensuring work is delivered on time, within scope, and in line with technical and safety standards. Day-to-day tasks include preparing project plans and schedules, reviewing drawings and specifications, monitoring progress, and resolving technical and operational issues. This include managing site inspection for major installation such as cable terminations, Power Transformer (PTX), Earthing Transformer (ETX), and cable laying. The role involves executing QA/QC inspection including continuity test and insulation tests, preparing material approvals, and developing Work Method Statement (WMS) for activities testing. The Project Engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams, contractors, and suppliers, participate in site meetings, and prepare reports and documentation to support project tracking and decision-making. The role also involves supporting quality assurance activities, adhering to relevant codes and regulations, and contributing to continuous improvement in project processes.

Qualifications

• Strong Project Engineering and Electrical Engineering skills, with the ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and standards.
• Proficiency in Project Management and Project Planning, including scheduling, resource coordination, and risk management.
• Effective Communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with internal teams, clients, contractors, and suppliers.
• Relevant academic background, such as a degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Experience in construction, industrial, or infrastructure projects is an advantage.
• Ability to work on-site in Shah Alam, manage multiple tasks, and adapt to changing project needs.
• Familiarity with industry standards, safety regulations, and quality assurance practices.
• Proficiency with project and engineering software tools (e.g., MS Project, AutoCAD or similar) is beneficial.
