Responsibilities

Corkjoint (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. is an established company specialising in the manufacture and supply of construction jointing and waterproofing products for the building and construction industry.

Based in Sungai Buloh, Selangor, we serve both local and international markets, supplying quality products and solutions for various construction and infrastructure projects.

We are looking for a responsible, detail-oriented, and experienced Accounts Executive to join our team and support the company’s day-to-day accounting and financial operations.


Role Description

  1.  The primary responsibility of the Accounts Executive is to manage and maintain the company’s accounting and financial records accurately and efficiently. The position is responsible for day-to-day accounting operations, including bookkeeping, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, credit control, payment processing, financial records, and coordination with external parties.
  2. The Account Executive is also responsible for ensuring that accounting records are properly maintained, statutory and tax requirements are complied with, and all financial matters are handled accurately and on a timely basis to support the efficient operation of the company.


Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of relevant working experience in accounting and finance.
  • Good knowledge of full-set accounting, bookkeeping, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), bank reconciliation, and credit control.
  • Experience in debt collection and following up on overdue customer accounts.
  • Familiar with monthly closing, audit, tax, and statutory requirements.
  • Experience liaising with banks, auditors, tax agents, company secretaries, and lawyers will be an advantage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software; experience with the ERP accounting system will be an added advantage.
  • Good numerical skills with strong accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Able to work independently, manage deadlines, and follow up on outstanding matters without constant supervision.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, particularly when dealing with customers on payment collection and external parties.
  • Good command of English, Mandarin, and Bahasa Malaysia, both written and spoken.
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and responsibility when handling company financial information.


Languages Proficiency

Must be able to speak and communicate effectively in English and at least one other language.

Preferred languages:

  • Bahasa Malaysia
  • Mandarin

Good written and verbal communication skills are essential.


Working Days: 5½ days per week

Working Hours:

  • Monday – Friday: 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
  • Saturday: 8:30 AM – 1:30 PM (one Saturday per month)
