What the role is

The Strategic Planning Team within MOM’s Communications and Engagement Department is looking for motivated and curious interns to support our communications and engagement efforts. This internship offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in strategic communications, content creation, stakeholder engagement, and communications planning within the public sector.

What you will be working on

• Support strategic planning and communications initiatives, including:
• • Media monitoring and analysis
  • Message development and communications planning
  • Branding and communications coordination
  • Stakeholder engagement and management

• Assist in the conceptualisation and production of social media content across various platforms, including copywriting, design, and multimedia content creation.

• Contribute to ongoing projects and workstreams by conducting research, preparing materials, coordinating activities, and supporting project execution.

What we are looking for

• Keen interest in communications, public affairs, marketing, media, or related fields.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an interest in learning how to craft and tailor messages for different audiences.
• Good critical thinking and analytical abilities.
• Resourceful, proactive, and detail-oriented.
• Familiarity with design tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
• Basic skills in video production and editing (e.g. CapCut or similar platforms).
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
