In line with our expansion, we are urgently seeking for :

Procurement Engineer

Responsibilities:

· To handle ALL procurement and purchasing activities;

· To handle local and oversea purchase enquiries;

· To ensure all purchases were comprehensively compared for competitive price, quality and service;

· To ensure all purchases are approved according to Company’s mandated guidelines;

· To ensure all purchases are delivered on time as per required schedule, quantity, specification & quality;

· To handle goods receiving ensuring proper tagging of items received;

· To ensure seamless integration with logistics and warehouse;

· To thoroughly and carefully check supplier’s documents prior to submitting to finance department;

· To ensure efficient operations in the Purchasing Department by regularly analysis of processes to streamline, improve and reduce paperwork and rework;

· To reduce purchasing risks through effective purchasing control;

· To constantly review and evaluate existing supplier’s price, quality and service;

· To be resourceful to source for new suppliers and or products that suit the Company’s industry and needs;

· To support cost reduction initiatives by performing evaluation on alternate material or similar material from alternate suppliers;

· Quality Control and Quality Assurance;

· To carry out trial to evaluate materials/processes/equipment for cost reduction initiative;

· To provide support in troubleshooting process or product quality problems;

· Implementation of improvement projects, in product, process or equipment;

· To provide support to develop, update and compile Operating Manual for ALL equipment and process;

· To provide support to produce, update, organize and manage professionally all as-built drawings for all equipment;

Requirements:

· Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineer.

· Ability to speak & write in English and operate in an international environment.

· With strong analytical mind and knowledge of problem solving method.

· Ability to formulate plan and translate the plan into action.

· Able to work independently with minimum supervision.

· Possess own transport (car) and valid driving license
