The Dental Surgeon Assistant supports the Dental Surgeon in delivering high-quality dental care to patients. This role involves chairside assisting during dental procedures, preparing instruments, maintaining strict hygiene standards, and supporting daily clinic operations. Candidates with prior experience or those without experience but willing to learn are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities :
Clinical Assistance
- Assist the Dental Surgeon during dental procedures and treatments.
- Prepare dental instruments, materials, and equipment before procedures.
- Maintain proper sterilization and infection control according to clinic standards.
- Ensure treatment rooms are clean, organized, and ready for patients.
- Support patient preparation and ensure patient comfort during procedures.
Patient Care
- Provide basic explanations of procedures to patients when required.
- Assist with post-treatment care instructions under the supervision of the Dental Surgeon.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
Clinic Operations
- Monitor dental supplies and inform management when stock is low.
- Assist with appointment coordination and patient flow when necessary.
- Ensure proper handling and maintenance of dental equipment.
- Support overall clinic operations and teamwork.
Requirements :
Candidate With Experience
Experience
- Minimum 1 year proven working experience as a Dental Assistant / Dental Surgery Assistant in a dental clinic.
Qualifications
- No formal certification required, but relevant dental assisting experience is mandatory.
Skills
- Familiar with dental instruments and chairside assisting techniques.
- Knowledge of sterilization procedures and infection control practices.
- Able to assist in common dental procedures such as scaling, filling, and extractions.
- Good communication and patient care skills.
- Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinic environment.
Candidate Without Experience (Trainee)
Education
- Minimum SPM or equivalent.
Training
- On-the-job training will be provided.

Pay: RM2,200.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
