Job Summary
Kids DiscoveryWorks offers exciting STEM enrichment programs for pre-school and primary-school children (K-6), focusing on hands-on experiential learning through experiments, games, and Makerspace projects that foster curiosity, collaboration, and problem-solving.
Responsibilities
Lead and conduct STEM lessons that introduce grade-appropriate science and engineering concepts to inspire curiosity and excitement in students
Facilitate and coach students through hands-on STEM activities and experiments to create effective and engaging learning experiences
Collaborate with fellow instructors and staff to maintain a safe, stimulating, and well-managed learning environment that supports program success and continuous improvement
Monitor and assess each child’s learning progress, providing constructive feedback to curriculum developers and parents to enhance educational outcomes
Build and maintain positive relationships with parents and students to support student engagement and satisfaction
Manage classroom dynamics effectively to ensure order and discipline during sessions
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in centres and classrooms to provide a healthy learning environment
Preferred competencies and qualifications
Demonstrated passion for engaging children in learning and fostering STEM interest
Strong organizational, communication, and facilitation skills demonstrated through lesson delivery and student interaction
Detail-oriented, reliable, and confident in public speaking within educational settings
Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word to support lesson preparation and reporting
Prior experience working with children or familiarity with LEGO Spike Prime technology would be an advantage
Relevant experience for Lead Instructor roles
Graduates or current students pursuing degrees or diplomas in relevant fields for Assistant Instructor roles
