Wasco Process Engineering Hiring! Full Time Safety Officer in Selangor - Ricebowl

Wasco Process Engineering Sdn Bhd, a member of Wasco Berhad, is looking for a Safety Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe working environment across our factory and project activities, ensuring compliance with DOSH requirements, client HSE requirements, company policies and work processes.

• Monitor daily factory and project activities to ensure compliance with DOSH, client HSE requirements and WPE safety procedures.

• Conduct regular safety inspections, identify hazards and ensure appropriate corrective actions are taken.

• Conduct toolbox meetings, safety briefings and site safety orientations.

• Monitor compliance with PPE, work permits, HIRARC/HIRAC and safe work practices.

• Ensure compliance during high-risk activities including lifting, work at height, confined space, hot work, hydrotest and machinery operations.

• Attend to client HSE requirements, inspections, observations and requests and ensure timely follow-up.

• Assist in incident/accident investigations, HSE audits and corrective actions.

• Maintain required SHE documentation, reports and inspection records.

• Ensure compliance with applicable DOSH, DOE, BOMBA and other regulatory requirements.

• Support continuous improvement of workplace safety and perform other SHE duties assigned by management.

• Minimum Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health, Safety Management or related field, or relevant NIOSH certification.

• Relevant Safety Officer / SHO certification will be an advantage.

• 2 to 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in Oil & Gas, fabrication, construction or manufacturing.

• Good knowledge of DOSH requirements, HIRARC/HIRAC and workplace safety practices.

• Good communication and report writing skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

• Proactive, responsible and comfortable working in a hands-on factory and project environment.

• Willing to work on weekends or outside normal working hours when required by project or client requirements.
