The Indoor Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily production operations within the manufacturing facility, ensuring production targets, quality standards, safety requirements, and operational efficiency are achieved. The role will lead production operators, coordinate with Sales and other departments, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to support business growth.
The incumbent will be expected to work across various production processes, maintain a hands-on approach on the production floor, and foster a positive and disciplined working environment
Responsibilities:
Production Operations Management
- Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to ensure production schedules are met.
- Monitor productivity, output, and operational efficiency on the production floor.
- Ensure products are manufactured according to quality standards and customer requirements.
- Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
- Coordinate manpower allocation to optimize production efficiency.
Quality & Continuous Improvement
- Monitor product quality and ensure compliance with established procedures and specifications.
- Investigate and resolve quality issues in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, waste reduction, and productivity enhancement.
- Support implementation of continuous improvement initiatives on the production floor.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with workplace health, safety, and environmental requirements.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe production environment.
- Enforce company policies, operating procedures, and manufacturing best practices.
- Participate in audits and support corrective actions where necessary.
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Work closely with Sales, Planning, Warehouse, and Operations teams to ensure smooth production flow.
- Communicate production updates, challenges, and capacity requirements to relevant stakeholders.
- Support new product introductions and production process improvements.
Candidate Profile:
Educational Requirements
- Diploma, Certificate, or equivalent qualification in Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Relevant industry experience may be considered in lieu of formal qualifications.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience, with supervisory experience preferred.
- Proven track record in managing production teams and achieving operational targets.
- Strong attendance and disciplinary record.
- Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Exposure to multiple manufacturing processes is advantageous.
Technical Skills
- Good understanding of production planning, workflow management, and quality control processes.
- Ability to read and interpret production schedules and work instructions.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Working knowledge of manufacturing KPIs and productivity tracking.
Soft Skills
- Able to communicate effectively in Bahasa Malaysia to engage and manage production floor employees.
- Able to communicate effectively in English to liaise with internal stakeholders from Singapore.
- Positive attitude and strong willingness to learn.
- Good problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
- Ability to adapt and work across different production processes and functions.
